Aaron Liu
Aaron Liu has over 25 years climbing experience spanning five continents. Currently living in Sydney he was based in the UK from 2001 to 2004, climbing extensively throughout Europe and North America. From the big walls of Yosemite to the forests of Fontainebleau Aaron has quietly amassed an impressive list of ascents in a variety of styles. His roped achievements include red points up to 8b+ / 32 and boulders up to V13 / 8b.
Notable ascents include Attack Mode (32), Nowra, Australia; Kale Borroka (8b+), Siurana, Spain; Cave Rave (V13), Grampians, Australia; Goldfish Trombone V13), Bishop, USA; Keen Roof (8b), Raven Tor, UK; Karma (8a+), Fontainebleau, France; Plain High Drifter (V12 flash), Bishop, USA. He also has a reputation for establishing bold lines that are seldom repeated.
As a competition climber Aaron maintains a healthy record of podium results for bouldering but is best known for being a speed specialist by winning a bronze medal for Australia at the 1999 – Playstation X Games. He is currently NSW State Champion in the Master’s category (40+) for bouldering and second place in this category for Oceania.

Aaron now balances career, family and climbing. He is motivated by bringing his knowledge and experience to the next generation of climbers.
